A number of travellers will be gazing outside longing for a bit of luxury travel right as we speak; but many believe they can’t afford it. The truth is, there are a ton of things you can do to make your budget last longer and get a little luxury in your life. You don’t need to be loaded to go on a luxury holiday! Use this guide to get started:
Be Flexible
Instead of being rigid with your plans, try to be as flexible as you can. Consider travelling out of season to a luxury place to make your money go further. Research times where there will be less tourists and you’ll usually be able to get a better price at that time. By saving money this way, you’ll be able to afford more on entertainment or accommodation. Be flexible with the days you travel on too so you can save money on your air travel. If you’re flexible you might be able to save a bundle on a boutique hotel in Muscat. You might be able to enjoy luxury entertainment every day. This is one of the main points to remember!
Travel With a Group of People
Travelling with a group of people is always more fun, and you can get big discounts. When it comes to rooms you could get a group discount, or you may even be able to rent a villa. The price per person might be quite a bit less than if you were to stay in a hotel. See if your friends or family would be up for taking a luxury trip too!
Rent Somewhere With a Kitchen
Renting somewhere with a kitchen will allow you to cook your own food while travelling. This isn’t something everybody will want to do, but it can save you a fortune on food. Just think of how many times you’d eat out on your trip, and what it would cost you. It doesn’t matter if you’re visiting the South of France or the Bahamas, eating out will still cost you a bunch of money. Of course you can still eat out sometimes, but you’ll save a huge chunk of your budget by staying somewhere with a kitchen. I like to use an app like Airbnb to help me find a fully equipped apartment to rent.
Sign Up to Newsletters
Find some of your favourite airlines, hotels, destinations, etc. Sign up to newsletters and you’ll more than likely get discounts sent through to your inbox. You’ll be able to save a substantial amount of money by doing this. The only thing you need to do is ensure that you snap up the deal quick before it all sells out! You really need to be on the ball when it comes to getting these deals.
If you use these tips, you will definitely be able to make your holiday budget stretch much further. If you have any more comments you’d like to add, please leave one below. See you again soon!
