How Turkish Airlines WiFi Compares
Both offer free messaging for loyalty members. Emirates' Skywards also gives free internet in First/Business. Turkish's paid internet ($9.99–$24.99) is comparable to Emirates ($9.99–$19.99). Emirates has superior IFE (ICE) and Starlink rollout.
Qatar's free Starlink on 150+ aircraft is far more generous — full internet, not just chat. Turkish's free messaging is good but Qatar's free everything is better.
Both offer free messaging for loyalty members. Turkish's paid internet ($9.99–$24.99) vs Lufthansa's €6–€25. Lufthansa's 4 Mbps cap is more restrictive than Turkish's 10–20 Mbps.
Key Thing to Know
Turkish Airlines flies to more countries than any other airline (129 as of 2025) and its Panasonic system covers this vast network — though speed varies significantly by route and aircraft age. Free messaging for all Miles & Smiles members is a standout perk.
