About the WiFi System
Short-haul European routes use 4G/LTE via Deutsche Telekom towers — faster but only over Europe. Intercontinental uses Inmarsat GX satellite.

FlyNet pricing is complex — tiered by time (1hr, 3hr) or full-flight, and varying by route length. For a 9-hour transatlantic, the full-flight unlimited bundle (~€39.99) is the clearest value. Elite HON Circle and Senator members receive a 50% discount or complimentary access on select fares. The A350-900 delivers the best FlyNet experience — if you're on one of these, the connection handles email and Zoom comfortably. Older 747-400 aircraft (being phased out) can be significantly slower.
