If you're on a Starlink-equipped 787-8, there's nothing to buy — WiFi is free for all passengers with no login. On Inmarsat-equipped long-haul aircraft (787-9, A380, 777), the 4-hour pass at £17.99 is better value than hourly on 7+ hour routes. Email, Slack, and light cloud work are reliably performant on Inmarsat. Skip it for Netflix or Spotify — BA throttles bandwidth-heavy services.
