Enjoy the Top Eateries in Miami

Miami is a popular resort town in Florida where you can enjoy the white sandy beaches, hundreds of attractions, and lots of shopping. But Miami is also popular for its plethora of great eateries. From fine dining at its finest to street food from a vendor, they have it all in Miami.

As diverse as the city is, the food is just as diverse. You can find Cuban delights, Asian dining, Mexican food, pizzerias, and plenty of fresh seafood. Miami is also a great place to grab some burgers on the go. Whatever you choose, leave your bags in a Miami luggage locker so you don’t have to take them with you while you dine. 

Cuban

  • Mas Cuba Café & Bar

Whether you want breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can get it all here. The huge breakfast menu includes chorizo revuelto, steak con huevos, and pastries. Lunch and dinner include appetizers like quesadillas and empanadas. Then try the grilled Mahi de Pescado, pork in lime sauce,  or rotisserie chicken. 

  • Bella Cuba

At Bella Cuba, start out with tostones or empanadas, have a salad or soup, and then try one of their amazing entrees. The churrasco steak with chimichurri sauce is popular as is the Cuban oxtail stew. Other favorites are the slow roast suckling pig and Caribbean rack of lamb. They also have pasta, seafood, and sandwiches. 

Asian

  • Kyu Restaurant 

Kyu Restaurant has one of the best tasting menus in Miami. Choose lunch or dinner and the Chef will delight you with his amazing creations. Or you can choose from tuna tartare, pork and shiitake gyoza, Thai fried rice stone pot, roasted grouper, or grilled octopus. They also have Florida snapper with brown butter. 

  • Toni’s Sushi Bar

The locals say it is the best in Miami, so you can’t pass up this place if you like sushi. Some of their choices include shrimp, octopus, or mackerel sashimi, eel and avocado roll, King crab leg, or New York spicy tuna. Or get the crispy calamari, creamy rock shrimp, Chilean sea bass, duck, or garlic steak. 

Mexican

  • La Cerveceria de Barrio Miami

A local favorite, this Mexican restaurant serves real handmade tortillas and all the freshest ingredients. The ahi tuna tostada is a hit, and the margaritas are the best. The El Jefe burrito is also popular with rice, beans, corn, cilantro, and cheese. They even have steak, snapper, ribs, and burgers. 

  • Mama’s Tacos

Mama’s Tacos serves much more than just tacos, although they have them seven different ways including with octopus. Their burritos, fajitas, enchiladas, and churrasco are also amazing. Can’t decide? Try the Mary Tierra with lobster, chicken, pork, shrimp, and chorizo with guacamole and other sides.  

Pizzerias

  • Grafa Pizza & Pasta

With 40 pizza varieties, you can eat here every day for over a month and not have the same thing twice. The unique baked ziti pizza is popular, and they even have truffle pizza. You can also pick from six kinds of calzones, 18 pasta dishes, and five sandwich choices. Dessert choices include cheesecake, tiramisu, and cake.

  • Crust

Crust is a beautiful art deco style restaurant that has won many awards and has been featured on a famous cooking show. They have 20 kinds of pizzas like the truffle honey pizza, fig pizza, and Funghi pizza. They also have 17 kinds of pasta and 12 signature entrees like grilled octopus, chicken piccata, and gnocchi.

Seafood

  • Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood & Crab

For some of the best seafood in Miami, Truluck’s is the place to go. Start with a crab or shrimp cocktail, move on to calamari or crab cakes, and then feast on one of their amazing seafood dishes. Try Hawaiian Ahi tuna with sesame crust and potatoes or a fresh Florida Stone Crab Claw platter. 

  • Stiltsville Fish Bar

Whether you like it raw or grilled, this fish bar has it covered. Peel and eat shrimp, raw oysters, and chilled crab claws with champagne mustard sauce are just a few of the choices. Or try the Tackle Box with a variety like snapper, lobster, red shrimp, oysters, and avocado. Don’t miss the buffalo fish wings!

Burgers

  • Shake Shack 

Shake Shack is well-known for its burgers and shakes. Their shack burger is one of the best in Florida. But they also have Korean-style fried chicken burgers, chicken bites, and grilled cheese. Their crispy crinkle fries are served four ways and their flat-top dogs are a unique way to eat a grilled hot dog.  

  • LoKal Burgers Beer

LoKal knows how to do burgers. The Frita was voted one of the top 52 burgers in the US and it has guava jelly, potato sticks, bacon, Gruyère cheese, and LoKal sauce. And the Miami Blues adds blue cheese and onions. You can also get a chicken, pork, tuna, or turkey sandwich. Or try the salmon or pink shrimp tacos. 

Fine Dining

  • House of Food Porn

An intriguing name for an amazing place. Featured on Thrillist and Check Please, you have never had sushi like this before. The Chef calls it Shushi and he is a dedicated artist when it comes to presenting his rolls to guests. You will need your phone to take pictures of the stunning works of art before you eat them. 

  • Habitat

Byblos is an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant that uses local ingredients and classic techniques. Start with duck kibbeh, lamb ribs, or Hamachi and enjoy the sujuk or black truffle before diving into the main dish. Middle Eastern fried chicken, lamb shoulder, or tomahawk ribeye are just a few choices. 

Desserts Only

  • Cielito Artisan Pops

Miami is hot, so cool off with one of these pops. From fruity to savory, Cielito has more than 40 flavors of popsicles. Try the banana filled with dulce de leche or the Bomba with brownies, meringue, dulce de leche, and vanilla cream. Or the Coquito coconut ice cream pop filled with Puerto Rican rum. They are all amazing!

  • Miami ‘N’ Ice

If you have never had rolled ice cream, try it here! With 20 different flavors, you can eat here every day for weeks. The Butter Cookie Monster has butter cookie ice cream with caramel and butter cookie crunch. Or try the Iced Spaghetti, which is whipped cream topped with vanilla “spaghetti” and strawberry sauce. 

You can also find a variety of other types of eateries like BBQ, Cantonese, French, Greek, Tuscan, and European. There is no way to list all of the fabulous restaurants in Miami, but we wanted to provide you with a couple of choices in a variety of cuisines. Enjoy!
